A closer look.
The idea behind Avery’s Living Jungle.
I directed this website around an idea: a piece of pixel art that you can dive into. The visual references move from a whole jungle to the life on a mossy log, then to ants and droplets beneath a leaf.
Codex assists with implementation and artwork preparation, including generated illustrations. The site combines layered pixel art, animated wildlife and water, and a conventional reading route through my portfolio.
The direction
Dense layers, rich pixel detail, distinct subjects, and a closer view of the small things in each habitat.
The artwork
Generated illustrations and sprite artwork create the setting, with the assets and movement prepared for the website.
